We pride ourselves on our socialising. It is what makes our Club a great place to be.

Every Saturday and Thursday night you will find our clubhouse filled with raucous juniors and even louder adults enjoying some post training refreshments and food, swapping tips and paddling stories.

Throughout the year, we have many events and socials to bring the club together, such as a series of BBQs, Christmas Dinner, Club Awards Night, Quiz Nights and the traditional Boxing Day paddle to the Parrot Inn in the village of Shalford (fun hats compulsory).   In addition, we host events at the club as the Hare & Hounds series over winter, Club Days and Community Days in association with our riverside partners.

But the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ is undoubtedly our Christmas Party.  Organised by the junior reps, the club is filled with music and dancing.  It’s always a special evening.

Our juniors also have many social activities throughout the season including Quizes, Escape Rooms, Movie Nights, Fun Days.

Kitchen

Like a home, the heart of our club is centre round our kitchen.  Open on Saturdays and Thursday evenings, it offers home cooked food and hot and cold drinks.  We are always in need of kitchen helps and cooks.  It’s simple to do, a great way to meet a lot of people and provides a much appreciated service to all!
